CHILDRENS HOLIDAY WORKER (2010) SEASONAL POST APRIL - OCTOBER 2010 Working as part of a team of three, based at the Trust’s Holiday Centre near Velindre, Llandysul, the Seasonal Children's Holiday Worker is an important post in the delivery of the holidays to our client groups. You will collect each group from their home town on Monday morning and drive them to the Holiday Centre in the Trust’s own minibus. You will then work two days during the week, helping to lead the daily excursions and activities at the coast, farm park, etc. Each Sunday you will drive the group back to their home town, before collecting the next group on Monday morning. This post therefore involves spending each Sunday night away from home (we pay for overnight accommodation). We are looking for a special individual who can can work with children in a calm, mature and caring way, quickly develop an effective working relationship with a different visiting staff team each week, and is a good ambassador for the Trust. You must be able to supervise children responsibly and facilitate imaginative play in a variety of situations. You will also spend a lot of time up to your waist in the Irish Sea (we provide a wet suit). You must have a good sense of humour, a tolerant and flexible attitude but with the ability to be firm when required. You must be an excellent minibus driver and have good navigation skills as your collection duties can take you as far north as Preston or Bradford and as far south as London and Portsmouth. This is not a residential position.
